Conceptual Academy Course Planners
Our course planners are created by the Conceptual Academy course authors. Each planner digs into the daily assignments across the entire school year. What lab activities to perform and when? Which questions to answer at the back of each textbook chapter? What videos to watch? What chapter sections to read? It’s all there, spelled out for each day of study. With a few Easter Eggs thrown in as well.
Each planner is built to accommodate a 180 day school year. We assume the student is able to study, on average, from 45 to 70 minutes a day. More or less depending upon the assignment. A lab activity, for example, will usually take longer than a reading activity. We ask that you use these as a general guide as opposed to strict rule. The assignments should be able to “breath”. More important than covering a lot of material, is nurturing an enthusiasm for the material that the student covers.
These planners are also available through Homeschool Planet, which offers its slick automated calendar system. We encourage you to explore this option. Many homeschoolers, however, have asked that we also make these planners available in PDF format so that they might simply print and post to the refrigerator, or compile within the student’s portfolio. We have embedded these planners directly into our programs. You are also welcome to download the planners from this page.
Middle School
Conceptual Integrated Science Explorations, 1st Edition, planner. Both years of the two year course. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, Astronomy.
Conceptual Physical Science Explorations, 2nd Edition, planner. Both years of the two year course. Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy.
Conceptual Physical Science Explorations, 2nd Edition, planner. One Year Sequence. Physics and Astronomy. This is a variation of the above planner that allows the middle school or 9th grade student to complete this course in a year.
High School
Conceptual Biology planner. One year course. Note: This planner accommodates eScience Lab kit 1399.
Conceptual Biology, Honors Level, planner. One year course. Note: This planner accommodates eScience Lab kits 1108 and 1399.
Conceptual Integrated Science, 2nd Edition, planner. First year of the two year course. Physics and Chemistry. Note: This planner is built around the second edition of this textbook.
Conceptual Integrated Science, 3rd Edition, planner. First year of the two year course. Physics and Chemistry. Note: This planner is built around the third edition of this textbook.
Conceptual Integrated Science, 3rd Edition, planner. Second year of the two year course. Biology, Earth Science, and Astronomy. Note: This planner is built around the third edition of this textbook and can be adjusted to accommodate the second edition textbook.
Conceptual Physical Science, 6th Edition, planner. First year of the two year course. Physics I and II. The second year of this two year course is listed below. This is the planner that will guide you through the “slower start” Titanium pathway.
Conceptual Physical Science, 6th Edition, planner. Second year of the two year course. Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy. The first year of this two year course is listed above.
Conceptual Physical Science, 6th Edition PAC planner. One year sequence. Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry (PAC). This is the planner that will guide you through the “faster start” Titanium pathway.
Conceptual Astronomy planner, using the CPS6e textbook. 136 Day sequence. Astronomy (spiced with physics). We classify this course as 0.5 high school credits with the assumption your state holds a 180 day Carnegie Unit.
Conceptual Chemistry, Honors, using the CC5e textbook. One year sequence. Chemistry for the motivated high school student covering the entire contents of Conceptual Chemistry.
Conceptual Chemistry, College Prep, using the CC5e textbook. One year sequence. Chemistry with a focus on the basics required as a preparation for college-level chemistry.
Conceptual Chemistry, Contextual planner, using the CC5e textbook. One year sequence. Chemistry with environmental emphasis. Works well for students with main interests outside of the sciences, though this course will likely open their perspectives.
Conceptual Chemistry, Life Sciences, using the CC5e textbook. One year sequence. Chemistry with a focus on life science applications. Also serves well as a college-prep.
Conceptual Physics, Honors, using the CP12e textbook. One year sequence. Physics for the motivated high school student covering the entire contents of Conceptual Physics.
Conceptual Physics, Regular, using the CP12e textbook. One year sequence. Select chapters of Conceptual Physics are covered to meet the needs of a broad range of students.
